World Pancreatic Cancer Day, Nov 20th 2025
Every year, November is dedicated to raise awareness about pancreatic cancer, one of the most challenging diseases to diagnose and treat.
World Pancreatic Cancer Day, celebrated on November 20 (the third Thursday of November), is a global initiative promoted by the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition (WPCC). The campaign aims to inform the public about the function of the pancreas, help recognize early symptoms, and highlight risk factors associated with pancreatic cancer, all essential steps toward earlier detection and improved outcomes.
At present, there is no standard screening test for the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer in the general population. For this reason, learning to recognize the symptoms and understanding the risk factors remain crucial.

As part of this global movement, the Italian Pancreatic Cancer Community (I-PCC) and Fondazione Nadia Valsecchi joins the worldwide #HelloPancreas campaign.
This year, we will host an awareness event in Naples on November 20, from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM, at the Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori – IRCCS Fondazione Pascale.
The event, open to the public, will provide a space for dialogue among patients, clinicians, researchers, caregivers, and advocacy organizations, fostering collaboration and shared commitment to advancing pancreatic cancer research and care.
