Exploring the Link Between Fructose and Pancreatic Cancer
A new research project led by Dr. Alessandro Carrer at the University of Padova, and cofounder of I-PCC, has been selected for funding by the Wereld Kanker Onderzoek Fonds, a charity in the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) International network.

New Affiliated Labs Join the I-PCC Network
During the latest I-PCC symposium, we officially opened the network to “Affiliated Labs”, laboratories whose principal investigators or teams actively participate in or contribute to I-PCC, and are distinct from the “Founder Labs”.
Second I-PCC symposium, Nanotec CNR, Lecce
The second symposium of the Italian Pancreatic Cancer Community (I-PCC) was held on June 4th 2025 in the beautiful setting of CNR Nanotec in Lecce, an exceptional venue that welcomed over 130 participants and featured 21 scientific presentations, many of which were delivered by young researchers, PhD students, and postdocs. The event was a resounding success, reaffirming the energy and cohesion of a growing community deeply committed to the fight against pancreatic cancer.
Introduction to the Italian Pancreatic Cancer Community I-PCC
The Italian Pancreatic Cancer Community (I-PCC) is an online platform that connects Italian scientists working in basic and translational pancreatic cancer research. Established in 2021 with the support of Fondazione Nadia Valsecchi, a non-profit organization with over 10 years of experience supporting research, patients, families, and public awareness, the I-PCC aims to foster collaboration and accelerate progress in the fight against pancreatic cancer.
